“Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.”
― St. Catherine of Siena

Tuesday, March 17, 2020 —
The Lord knew you before you were formed in the womb. He knew you from the moment of all creation, as He knows all His creatures. He put you in **this** time, in **this** place to glorify Him.
Throughout history great men and women have risen to the challenges of their time. They were put in those times and those places for the glory of the Lord. These holy men and women picked up their crosses because they devoutly accepted the Lord’s Will. Sure, some were a little less enthusiastic, and some even needed the Almighty 2×4 to get moving, but they (eventually) rose to the occasion.
We may never understand why the Lord chose us for this time, but here we are. We are called to be great men and women of our day and devoutly take up our cross.
We probably aren’t all called to be Saint Catherine of Siena, even though many of us are in a fighting mood and may have some choice words for our Bishops. Most of us are called to live our Faith—deeply and without reservation—and show the world, or at least those around us, the love of Jesus Christ.
This is going to be a painful and confusing time. It may seem like we’re not making any difference, but we are here because the Lord wants us at this moment.
This is how saints are forged. With fire and trial; with perseverance and humility. The Lord Almighty spoke us into existence at this moment for His Glory. Embrace your cross and be the saint He wants you to be!
Saint Catherine of Siena, pray for us!
