Happy Holy Day! Today I thought I would show you all our family’s litany of Saints. We pray it regularly and call on these Saints to intercede for us.
Personally, I think every family should have a set of Saints they call on regularly. Not just your birthday Saint or Confirmation Saint, but also Saints with patronages personal to your life, Church, etc. We do not have to walk this crazy earth alone! We can rely on the guidance of those who have gone before us and call on them to intercede for us before the throne of the Almighty!
Anyhoo, here is our little litany of Saints. NB: you do not have to use the “traditional” litany format. We honestly list them off after Rosaries, night prayers, etc. It does not need to be pretty, people.
- Saint Joseph, pray for us!
- Saint Anthony, pray for us!
- Saint Jude, pray for us!
- Saint Matthew, pray for us!
- Saint Thomas More, pray for us!
- Saint Thomas Aquinas, pray for us!
- Saint Pius X, pray for us!
- Saint Pio, pray for us!
- Saint John Vianney, pray for us!
- Saint Andrew, pray for us!
- Saint Nicholas, pray for us!
- Saint Francis of Assisi, pray for us!
- Saint Catherine of Siena, pray for us!
- Saint Martha, pray for us!
- Saint Joan of Arc, pray for us!
- Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!
- Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!
- Jesus meek and humble of Heart, make our hearts like unto Thine!
All you holy men and women, pray for us!
